The careful removal of vegetation and accumulated weathering products from rock faces can dramatically improve the exposure of geological features and increase safety for those visiting the sites.

Rope Works’ personnel include a graduate geologist with over 15 years’ experience of working on geological SSSI’s and RIGS. Having this depth of knowledge helps us to undertake enhancement work with a thorough understanding of the features of interest.

We also carry out periodic safety inspections to remove loose material and can assist with the collection of hand specimens and core samples for research projects.
